QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

General Qualifications:

  • University degree in a related field (preferably Business Administration, International Relations, Economics or similar disciplines)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in export and import operations
  • Advanced level of English proficiency and familiarity with international trade terminology
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in sales techniques through telephone and internet channels
  • Experienced in customer and market research

Job Description:

  • Conduct detailed research on the assigned region to identify customer potentials and expectations
  • Introduce and promote products/services based on gathered information
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by providing post-sales support
  • Expand the customer portfolio by identifying new industries and clients that align with the product portfolio
  • Actively search for new  markets in line with the product offerings
  • Provide support for market and customer analysis

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Trade, Economics, or related field
  • Proven experience in foreign trade, import/export operations, or international logistics
  • Strong understanding of global trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other language
  • Familiarity with trade compliance software and tools
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Certifications in international trade or customs compliance (e.g., Certified Global Business Professional, Certified Customs Specialist) - preferred

Job Description

The Foreign Trade Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Managing import and export processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and freight forwarding
  • Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize trade operations and minimize costs
  • Negotiating with suppliers, carriers, and customs authorities to secure favorable terms and resolve issues
  • Collaborating with internal teams, such as sales, procurement, and finance, to support international business activities
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify new trade opportunities and potential risks
  • Providing guidance and training to staff on trade compliance and best practices
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes
  • Staying updated on changes in trade regulations and industry trends
